Tires

A very sobering 9 min. video that should eliminate any doubts you may have about old tires.

Air Compressors

Did a search but didn't come up with much.
I need to replace my 30 year old compressor. I am looking for a tankless model (space issues) that will handle 100+ psi and do so relatively quickly.
Any suggestions?

RE: Napa Valley - need some tips

KOA in Petaluma is a nice place to set up a base for exploring the area. Between Memorial Day & Labor Day they have tours to the Wine Country & San Francisco. Also a good location as a base for exploring Hwy 1 and the coast.

RE: Cross country trip

Just returned a few days ago from such a trip. We left San Francisco the day after Labor Day and drove I 80 directly (2 weeks) to Stowe, VT where we hooked up with an RV caravan. We spent 33 days chasing the fall colors through Vermont, New Hampshire, eastern Canada and New York. The caravan ended in Niagara Falls, Ontario mid-October.
After the caravan ended we proceeded south (avoiding interstates as much as possible) through New York, western PA, West VA, Kentucky and Tennessee, enjoying the fall colors all the way. We took The Natchez Trace Parkway from Nashville to Jackson Mississippi then turned right and proceeded west through Louisiana, Texas, New Mexico, Arizona and back to San Francisco.
We were very fortunate weather-wise and only had rain for 4 days during the entire trip. Our only regret is, due to family committments, we were unable to spend more time in many of the places we visited.
If you would like more details on the route we followed, feel free to PM me.
